PROJECT HIGHLIGHT:  My favorite thing about Florida projects is probably the ability to design for outdoor living to an extent not possible up north.
One wouldn’t know it from the street but this house surprises visitors with a series of interior courtyard gardens. The warm climate allowed for a design in which the owners’ bedroom is the only one in the main house. All guest bedrooms are accessed via open air covered walkways that pass along side the cloister gardens. And the formal living room is open air- no glass at all, just integrated ceiling heaters and retractable screens.
